Instructor See. Esra Nur TÜRKMEN held a seminar on "Protection from Musculoskeletal Diseases and Ergonomics in Desk Workers" at the Malazgirt Vocational School Conference Hall. Our Academic - Administrative staff and students participated in the seminar.
Turkmen said that "in addition to musculoskeletal system diseases, eye problems, headache, fatigue, weakness and psychological problems are the main problems that can be seen in office workers".
The frequency of musculoskeletal diseases, which are common in desk workers, does not differ significantly according to gender. Since both male and female patients are exposed to similar risks, neck, waist or wrist problems are seen with similar frequency. The incidence of diseases may increase due to poor use of the body and equipment, as well as lack of physical condition, previous diseases and aging, rather than gender. A person's lifestyle is also important. Unbalanced and unhealthy diet, bad habits, heavy sports that can strain the body, heavy housework, sleep problems and not getting enough rest also increase the frequency of musculoskeletal diseases
At the end of the seminar, Lecturer See. TÜRKMEN thanked everyone who participated and wished success.
