A meaningful event aimed at supporting the academic, social, and personal development of students was held by the Child Development Program at Muş Alparslan University's Malazgirt Vocational School. The "Breakfast and Reading in Nature Event," held in Malazgirt National Park, brought together first and second-year Child Development Program students in a natural setting, transforming it into a productive gathering that fostered both social interaction and academic awareness. The event was coordinated by the Head of the Child Development Department, Dr. Semih Uçar, while the Malazgirt Development Community also played an active role in the organization process.

Planned with the understanding that students should be supported not only in their academic achievements but also in their social, emotional, and personal development, the event was a meaningful gathering that brought students together in the peaceful atmosphere of nature. The breakfast event, held in the first part of the day, allowed students to both take a break from their intense academic schedule and build stronger social bonds with each other. The gathering of first and second-year students from the Child Development Program in the same event significantly contributed to strengthening intra-departmental communication, increasing experience sharing, and fostering a sense of belonging among students.

The subsequent book reading program provided a valuable learning experience supporting students' academic and personal development. Planned with the understanding that reading habits are crucial not only for academic success but also for developing thinking skills, attention span, empathy, observation abilities, and professional awareness for students studying child development, the event allowed students to spend quality time in nature. The book reading activity, conducted in the tranquility of the natural environment, created a productive atmosphere that contributed to students' mental relaxation, focus, and individual development.

One of the significant achievements of the event was the strong interaction established between students of different grade levels. In particular, the sharing of departmental experiences between second-year students and first-year students created a supportive environment for adapting to university life, academic processes, and professional development. It has been observed that these types of activities, held outside of formal classroom settings, significantly contribute to students getting to know each other better, developing social solidarity, and strengthening departmental culture.

In his evaluation of the event, Assistant Professor Dr. Semih Uçar stated that university education should not be limited solely to classroom academic instruction, and that activities supporting students' social, cultural, and emotional development are an important part of the higher education process. Uçar emphasized that these types of events, where students connect with nature, engage with books, and build strong relationships with each other, are extremely valuable for both individual development and institutional belonging.
